Overview of Capacity Release Program
Capacity on Tennessee Gas Pipeline can be released on the PASSKEY system through the Capacity Release icon in the Passkey directory menu.

Q: When must a release be posted?

A release must be posted if one of the following conditions exist:

(1) The release term is greater than 31 days and less than or equal to 1 year.
(2) The release term is greater than 1 year and less than maximum rate.
(3) The release term is less than or equal to 31 days and constitutes a rollover. (Consecutive non-biddable releases to the same prearranged party within 28 days of the prior release are not permitted.)

Q: How long must a release be posted?

The length of time that a release must be posted depends on the term of the release.

A short-term release is defined as 1 year or less and must be posted for as little as one business day before award.

(1) The bid period must open no later than 12 p.m. (CST) on a business day and
(2) The bid period ends no later than 1 p.m. (CST) on a business day. (Evaluation period begins at 1 p.m.)

A long-term release is defined as more than 1 year and must be posted no less than three business days before award.

(1) The bid period must open no later than 12 p.m. (CST) on a business day. and
(2) The bid period ends no later than 1 p.m. (CST) on a business day. (Evaluation period begins at 1 p.m.)
