Customer Services 101 - Nominations Deadlines
Tennessee Gas Pipeline implemented the intra-day nominations standard promoted by the Gas Industries Standard Board and adopted by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Order No. 587-H.

Specifically, the new standard provides shippers two opportunities (chart time and evening cycle) to nominate for the next day’s chart time effective at 9:00 a.m. As shown below, chart time nominations must be submitted by 11:30 a.m. on the day prior to gas flow, and evening cycle nominations must be submitted by 6:00 p.m. on the day prior to gas flow.

In addition, other opportunities are available for shippers to nominate within the current gas day. Nominations for the first intra-day cycle are due by 10:00 a.m., and nominations for the second intra-day cycle are due by 5:00 p.m. In addition to the intra-day cycles, TGP provides hourly cycles for shippers to nominate. Hourly nominations are due 60 minutes prior to the effective time on any hour of the day between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Hourly nomination changes must be nominated and confirmed by all affected parties. Nominations quantities will reflect the full 24-hour equivalent volumes, subject to certain conditions.

Unlike initial chart time nominations that can roll from day to day, intra-day nominations, which include evening cycle nominations, will terminate at the end of the gas day for which they were effective.
