PASSKEY Implementation Instructions
Tennessee implemented the PASSKEY 3.0 system on
September 20, 2003. Please note the following implementation instructions
that pertain to new and existing customers.
For customers with a corporate firewall, your firewall must be opened
for outbound access on TCP ports 80 (http), 443 (SSL), and 8013 (ORB) to
class C address range [146.130.32.*].
For Information Exchange and Report Subscription your
firewall must be opened for outbound access on TCP ports 80 (http), 443 (SSL), and 8013 (ORB) to class C address
range [192.53.35.*].
In addition, if you are using Internet Explorer and either a Windows 2000 or
a Windows XP computer, you need to ensure that the User ID you use to log into
your PC (not the PASSKEY User ID) has Administrator privileges to it. This
is necessary to allow PASSKEY to be downloaded to your PC. Several files
are downloaded the first time you access PASSKEY. After that whenever
there are updates to the system, the updated files will be automatically
downloaded provided that the User ID you use to log into your computer
has Administrator privileges to it.
To access PASSKEY:
- Open your Internet browser.
- Type in the URL http://www.tennesseeadvantage.com and press Enter.
(The Tennessee Advantage homepage will be displayed.)
- Click on the PASSKEY 3.0 option at the top of the page.
(A System License Agreement disclaimer page will appear.)
- Click on the LOGIN button to agree to the terms of Tennessee’s System
License Agreement (All PASSKEY users execute a hardcopy of this agreement
prior to receiving their login IDs and passwords).
- The PASSKEY login screen will appear. Enter your existing PASSKEY login ID
(preceded by the "Domain" - see below) and password.
If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) you must enter "tgpl\"
followed by your login ID in the "User Name" box (i.e. tgpl\loginID)
or enter your login ID in the "User Name" box and "tgpl"
in the "Domain" box (dependant upon which version of IE you are
using) and then enter your password and click on OK or press Enter.
If you are using Netscape you must enter "tgpl\" followed by your
login ID in the "User Name" box (i.e. tgpl\loginID) and then enter
your password in the password box and click on OK or press Enter.
- If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) as your browser, the PASSKEY
system will download to your PC. The download time will range between 5 and
45 minutes depending on the speed of the connection (T1, ISDN, DSL, or modem
at 56K).
If you are using NETSCAPE as your browser, you will also be
systematically prompted through the download steps for necessary Java Plug-in
files (during your initial access) prior to downloading PASSKEY.
- Following the download process, the PASSKEY directory (site menu) will
be displayed.
(Click on the plus sign to open each application menu and sub-menu.
Double-click or highlight the screen icons and press enter to access the
screens.) Please call the Help Desk if you do not see the directory menu.
- To close screens click on the blue "X" located in the right
hand corner of each page, or select Close from the Navigational tools menu on
the top left hand corner of the screen. To exit the application click on the "X" in the far right corner on
the Browser title bar at any time, this will close your browser session and
disconnect you from PASSKEY. Please note that you must close the Browser
window and not use the Browser's back button. Not doing so will cause
problems accessing Passkey.
If you have any technical/access questions or problems, call the PASSKEY Help
Desk at 713-420-4600 or 1-800-327-8328. For any application/process related
questions please contact your Account Representative or Volume Analyst. You may
also forward any non-urgent application questions or comments to Central.Transportation.Services@ElPaso.com.
