Transportation Services 101
Do you have questions regarding the day-to-day business activities on Tennessee Gas Pipeline? If the answer is yes, Transportation Services is the department to contact. The Transportation Services department consists of four critical groups: (1) Customer Service Account Representatives, (2) Volume Analysts, (3) Accountants, and (4) Business Process Analysts (this group works with our Information Technology department on PASSKEY enhancements). These three groups work together to ensure that our customers understand how to do business on Tennessee Gas Pipeline.

The Accountants can answer any question customers may have regarding invoices or outstanding receivables. The Volume Analysts’ area of expertise involves nominating and scheduling as well as imbalance management. The Customer Service Account Representatives handle questions concerning contracts and the tariff. Since Transportation Services interacts with many departments within Tennessee Gas Pipeline, please feel free to call a Customer Service Account Representative for information regarding whom to contact on specific issues.

Transportation Services works with the Operations department to ensure that customers are aware of any potential problems in the scheduling of transportation volumes. Transportation Services works closely with our Capacity Trading Group (Bid Room) which handles our discounting process.

Finally, the Account Representatives provide training for customers on issues such as general tariff items, pipeline operations, nominations and scheduling, and capacity release. Group training sessions are held periodically. Customers are able to build contracts, transmit nominations and submit a release during a training session. Any announcements regarding the training sessions may be found on the electronic bulletin board, or you may call your Account Representative to register for our next session. A one-on-one session may be scheduled either at our office or yours by calling your Account Representative.
